The County of Essex provides ambulance service and pre-hospital emergency care to Windsor, Pelee Island and Essex County residents. Essex County's Emergency Management coordination is also under the portfolio of Essex-Windsor EMS and aims to raise awareness and ensures a plan is in place in the event of a natural disaster or state of emergency. |

Infrastructure and Planning Services |

The Infrastructure and Planning Services department manages the maintenance and construction of a road network that is more than 1,500 lane kilometres in length. It also oversees the County Wide Active Transportation System program, which promotes active living and the consistent expansion of our network of connected trails and paths. The Planning Division guides the County's growth and protects its resources by maintaining the vision laid out in the County of Essex Official Plan. |
