This week’s County of Essex construction alerts are all continuations.

The County of Essex is seeking a temporary, part-time Student Placement Coordinator for Sun Parlor Home.

There will be a meeting of Essex County Council on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, which is scheduled to commence at 6:00 PM. 

The County of Essex hosted a press conference Tuesday afternoon outside the Administration Building, where Ontario Minister of Natural Resources Mike Harris announced funding to protect communities from the dangers of legacy oil and gas wells.

The Pelee Coastal Resilience Committee is seeking more public input, as it continues to develop potential climate-change adaptation solutions along Lake Erie’s northern shore. The committee is hosting four open houses, June 24-25. 

The County of Essex’s Human Resources department is recruiting for three positions:

• HR Business Partner, Corporate Services & Organizational Development;
• Return to Work and Wellness Specialist (10-month contract);
• Workplace Health and Ability Specialist.

Construction and Road Closures Update – June 5, 2026.

Essex County Council has approved a new two-year collective agreement with Teamsters Local 879, which represents workers with the roads division of the County’s Infrastructure and Planning Services department.
