Fleet and Equipment
Essex-Windsor EMS uses the latest technology and specialized vehicles and equipment to provide the best patient care possible.
We utilize a Lucas CPR machine, which performs hands-free CPR, and we use hydraulic stretchers, stair chairs, modern cardiac monitors/defibrillators and a Hover-Mat and Hover-Jack system. We make use of a GPS system and communicate via radio and cell phone.
Ambulances make up the bulk of our fleet of more than 50 vehicles, but we also have special event vehicles, emergency response units, a logistics van, a specialized bariatric and Haz-Mat unit, administrative vehicles and District Chief vehicles.
County Council has also recently approved the purchase of Essex-Windsor EMS's first hybrid ambulances.
