Construction and Road Closures Update – June 13, 2025

County Road 14 will have lane restrictions at the intersection of County Road 37 and County Road 14 beginning June 9 to June 13 to for road construction.

County Road 8 will have lane restrictions between Walker Sideroad and County Road 15 beginning May 15 for road construction.

County Road 8 will have lane restrictions between Country Road 27 and Cameron Side Road beginning May 23 for road construction.

County Road 20 will have lane restrictions between County Road 3 and River Canard Bridge beginning May 5 for road construction.

County Road 20 will have lane restrictions between County Road 23 (Arner Townline Road) and McCain Sideroad beginning May 12 for road construction.

Fox Side Road and Gore Road will have lane restrictions between County Road 20 and Wright Road beginning May 12 for road construction.

County Road 34 will have lane restrictions between Wilson Sideroad and the Town of Essex limit (municipal address 401) beginning June 5 for road construction.

County Road 37 will have lane restrictions between County Road 42 and County Road 2 beginning June 9 for road construction.

County Road 46 will have lane restrictions between Webster Road and Concession 8 beginning June 10 for road construction

County Road 42 will have lane restrictions between County Road 31 and Rochester Townline beginning June 12 for road construction.

Line painting

Please be patient when you encounter road line painting operations. Be prepared to drive slowly and do not drive over the wet paint to prevent damage to your vehicle.

County Road 42 construction project

The following notices form part of Phase 3 and Phase 4 of the County Road 42 construction project. Additional information related to this project can be found on our County Road 42 project web page.

County Road 42 will be closed at County Road 19 (Manning Road) starting June 2 for the construction of a new roundabout. Construction of the roundabout is expected to last until late September.

Area motorists are advised of the following closures and detours:

• Westbound traffic along County Road 42 will need to use Patillo Road to County Road 22. No westbound traffic will be permitted through the intersection of County Road 42 and Manning.
• Eastbound traffic along County Road 42 will be closed at Lesperance Road to local traffic only. Traffic will be permitted to head south on Manning Road only. The main detour for eastbound traffic will be Banwell Road to the E.C. Row Expressway.
• County Road 19 (Manning Road) will remain open to northbound and southbound traffic during this phase of the project with intermittent closures during the day.
• Traffic signals at the intersection of County Road 42 and County Road 19 (Manning Road) will be shut off starting on June 2.
