Essex-Windsor EMS officially welcomed 24 part-time paramedics Monday at a commencement ceremony held in Council Chambers at the County of Essex Administration Building.

Construction and Road Closures Update – May 29, 2026

Lesperance Road at the intersection of County Road 42 in Tecumseh reopened in both directions Thursday following the accelerated reconstruction of the intersection that included the installation of new traffic signals, sidewalks, bike paths and pedestrian crossings. 

The Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority is seeking a temporary, full-time Labourer 1 for the Regional Landfill.

There will be a meeting of Essex County Council on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, which is scheduled to commence at 6:00 PM. The agenda has been published, and members of the public may view or download the County Council Agenda on the County website.

Notice is given to all persons in possession of land, in accordance with the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, c W.5, Sections 3, 16, 23 that an order for the destruction of noxious weeds or weed seeds must be completed on all lands within the County of Essex, before June 30, 2026 and throughout the season.
