Construction and Road Closures Update – November 7, 2025

County Road 8 will be closed between County Road 37 and County Road 1 for a culvert replacement, beginning September 29 for approximately 8 weeks. Please use caution and follow the posted detour.

County Road 23 will have lane restrictions at the intersection of Road 9 W beginning Monday, November 10 for approximately 4 weeks.

County Road 10 will have lane restrictions between 3rd Concession and 4th Concession in Amherstburg for approximately 4 weeks.

County Road 35 (Comber Sideroad) will be closed between County Road 2 (Tecumseh Road) and Lakeshore Road 302 by the Municipality of Lakeshore for watermain construction beginning Monday, November 3 for approximately 3 weeks. Please follow the posted detour. 

Maple Street in Harrow will have lane restrictions beginning Friday, November 7 for road construction.

Road line painting

Please be patient when you encounter road line painting operations. Be prepared to drive slowly and do not drive over the wet paint to prevent damage to your vehicle.

County Road 42 construction project

The following notices form part of Phase 3 and Phase 4 of the County Road 42 construction project. Additional information related to this project can be found on our County Road 42 project web page.

The County Road 19 (Manning Road) and County Road 42 roundabout is now open to northbound, southbound and eastbound traffic. Westbound is closed off the new roundabout.

Area motorists are advised of the following closures and detours, for the final segment of Phase 3 of the CR42 widening project:

• Westbound County Road 42 from Manning Road is closed to Lesperance Road to complete Phase 3 of the County Road 42 widening project. Please follow the posted detour signs.
