Tariff Relief Resources Available for Local Businesses
The County of Essex is supporting the efforts of the Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce to ensure local businesses are aware of federal programs designed to help them respond to tariff pressures and global uncertainty.
The Regional Tariff Response Initiative is a $3.45-billion program to help small and medium-sized enterprises impacted by tariffs adapt, diversify and build resilience.
Eligible businesses may access enhanced support to strengthen supply chains, boost productivity, improve resilience, address liquidity needs, and pursue growth opportunities. Support is also available for not-for-profit organizations that help businesses adapt, grow, and expand trade opportunities. Learn more on the RTRI website!
Virtual information sessions about the program for southern Ontario are being held next week. Sessions are scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon on September 21 and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on September 24. Attend one of the sessions to learn about eligibility and how the funding and application process works. You can register on the RTRI website.
