Traffic Alert! Temporary four-way stop and speed reduction on County Road 10 in Amherstburg

Due to the temporary construction along County Road 20, from CR 10 (Middle Side Road) up to CR 3 (Malden Road), there has been increased traffic on CR 10. 

This is causing issues at the intersection of CR 10 and CR 5. The Town of Amherstburg has requested the County of Essex put up a four-way stop there, which is now in operation – as of late morning, Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The County of Essex also will be temporarily lowering the speed limit today on CR 10 from 80 km/h down to 60 km/h, from CR 20 to the 3rd Concession. 

Both County Road 20 construction and these traffic measures should end within a few days.
