County of Essex Modernizes Subdivision and Condominium Application Process
The paperless system is designed to improve customer service
The County of Essex is launching a new Cloudpermit system for processing subdivision and condominium applications, designed to streamline and expedite the development approvals process for the County and all users.
This end-to-end digital portal replaces outdated paper-based processes with a single, shared system for all subdivision and condominium applications across the County’s seven local municipalities.
Developed in alignment with the County’s Strategic Plan, which strives to harmonize action for growth and reduce barriers to development, the new system will accelerate development timelines while fostering a more collaborative planning approvals process.
The paperless system is designed to improve customer service, increase efficiency, and reduce the cost of service delivery.
Key Benefits for Applicants
Using the cloud-based platform, applicants can submit applications entirely online using a computer, tablet, or mobile device. They will be able to:
- Submit applications and supporting documents digitally
- Communicate directly and coordinate meetings with municipal staff within the application workspace
- Receive comments from the County, local municipalities, and external agencies in one shared workspace.
- Track the status of multiple applications across all seven municipalities through a single dashboard
