The County of Essex will be moving to a new, online platform for residents to report road-related issues starting on May 28.

Notice is given to all persons in possession of land, in accordance with the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, c W.5, Sections 3, 16, 23 that an order for the destruction of noxious weeds or weed seeds must be completed on all lands within the County of Essex, before June 30, 2025 and throughout the season.

The Corporation of the County of Essex intends to control noxious weeds by spot spraying along designated rural roadsides from May 26 to June 30. 

There will be a meeting of Essex County Council on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, which is scheduled to commence at 6:00 PM.

Essex County Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 5 p.m., in Council Chambers in the County of Essex Administrative Building, located at 360 Fairview Avenue West, in Essex, to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment to the County of Essex Official Plan, under the provisions of Sections 17 & 22 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.

Residents of Windsor-Essex are encouraged to share their input to help update the Regional Community Safety and Well-Being Plan. Participants are invited to join a virtual community focus group for their area of interest (Windsor or Essex County) and/or share their thoughts in an online survey available from May 16 to 30, 2025.
