At a special ceremony today, Essex-Windsor EMS celebrated and officially welcomed 88 paramedics hired since early 2020. The paramedics, who were hired in 2020, 2021, 2022 and earlier this year, were formally congratulated as colleagues, members of Essex County Council and family members looked on at a Commencement Ceremony held at the St.
A delegation from the County of Essex met recently with Ontario Minister of Health Sylvia Jones to discuss measures to help address systemic issues leading to ambulance offload delays in Windsor-Essex. The delegation from the County of Essex included Warden Hilda MacDonald, Chief Administrative Officer Sandra Zwiers and Essex-Windsor EMS Chief Bruce Krauter.
Warden Thanks Residents and Staff for Storm Response. Warden Hilda MacDonald thanked residents for their patience and perseverance during two major storms in August and praised County of Essex staff for their response.
County of Essex employees are being commended by Warden Hilda MacDonald and the senior leadership team for stepping up when storms packing high winds and heavy rainfall pummelled the region over two days in late August. Residents in the southern part of the county were the hardest hit as basements, yards, fields and roads flooded, and trees and hydro lines came down.
There will be a meeting of Essex County Council on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, which is scheduled to commence at 6:00 PM. As permitted pursuant to By-law 2022-31, being a by-law to provide rules governing the order and proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex, adopted on October 19, 2022, the meeting will take place with members of County Council in person at the Essex County Civic Centre.

Pathway to Potential (P2P) is excited to announce an open call for artists to participate in a unique and inspiring project. P2P is seeking creative individuals to submit proposals for an innovative display that will bring to life the stories and experiences that were shared by Windsor-Essex residents through the "Share Your Story" postcard campaign.
