An Environmental Assessment Study for improvements to County Road 46 from Highway 401 to County Road 19 (Manning Road), jointly commissioned by the County of Essex and Town of Tecumseh, has been completed. The 30-day public review period begins November 20, 2025 and closes December 19, 2025.

Essex-Windsor EMS Chief Justin Lammers and ZOLL Medical Canada Inc. made special, in-school presentations on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 to Alaina Ha. She's a Grade 8 student at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Elementary School in Stoney Point. Alaina is deaf. Because of her proactive help during and (especially) following an AED/CPR training session last May, Essex-Windsor EMS made a vital discovery as to how deaf people, too, can reach a 911 operator.

On Friday, November 14, the Ontario Heritage Trust, in partnership with the County of Essex, the Town of Amherstburg and the Town of LaSalle, unveiled a new provincial plaque commemorating the River Canard Bridge.

The proposed 2026 Budget is now available for review on the County of Essex website and in person at the County of Essex Administration Building.
