Survivor Day is an event that celebrates survivors of trauma and out of hospital cardiac arrest (OOHCA). The event is an opportunity for patients (survivors) to share their stories and reunite with paramedics, firefighters, police services, ambulance dispatchers and community members who’ve played a role in their survival.

Essex-Windsor EMS ambulances are being outfitted with blue lights to promote paramedic and public safety. Seven ambulances in the fleet are now using flashing blue lights, replacing the traditional red.
County Road 20. will have lane restrictions between Middle Road and Elm Avenue for sewer construction by the Town of Amherstburg from April 1 to July 1, 2019.
Motorists are advised that, effective next week, speed limit reductions from 80 km/hr to 60 km/hr will take effect on a stretch of County Road 20 between Kingsville and Leamington. The speed limit will now be a consistent 60 km/hr from 145 metres east of Kratz Road in Kingsville to 185 metres west of Sherk Street in Leamington.
The administration offices of the County of Essex will be closed Friday and Monday for the Easter weekend. Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday.

Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services, the Canadian Mental Health Association of Windsor and Essex County and LaSalle Police and Fire Services announced partnerships with Wounded Warriors Canada Tuesday to raise awareness and provide first responders access to innovative programs promoting mental wellness. “The more services and programs our paramedics can access the better,” said Essex-Windsor EMS Chief Bruce Krauter.
