    2024-11-06 Essex County Council Regular Meeting Notice

    There will be a meeting of Essex County Council on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, which is scheduled to commence at 6:00 PM. As permitted pursuant to By-law 2024-26, being a by-law to provide rules governing the order and proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex, adopted on June 5, 2024, the meeting will take place with members of County Council in person at the County of Essex Administration Building.

    Crews Ready to Clear County Roads in Winter Weather

    County of Essex road crews are ready to roll as winter weather strikes and are reminding motorists to adjust their driving habits in snowy conditions and be patient and alert when encountering snow removal equipment. Winter travel calls for extra care even under normal weather conditions, but snow and ice on roadways can reduce tire traction while vehicle exhaust and blowing snow can reduce visibility.

    County of Essex Council Approves 2025 Budget

    Essex County Council has approved a 2025 Budget that is fiscally responsible and maintains service levels despite inflationary pressures while making substantial investments in health care, affordable housing and infrastructure to accommodate historic growth and improve the quality of life for residents. “Our Strategic Plan calls for the County of Essex to be a regional champion delivering services for the success of our local communities and residents and it calls for the County to be a powerhouse in public and private investment attraction,” said Warden Hilda MacDonald.
