There will be a meeting of Essex County Council on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 6:00 PM. As permitted under By-law 2022-31, being a by-law to provide rules governing the order and proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex, adopted on October 19, 2022, the meeting will take place with members of County Council joining remotely via web-conference.
Warden Encourages Participation in Hospice Dove Pin Campaign. Warden Hilda MacDonald is encouraging residents to contribute to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County’s dove pin campaign.

Construction is ongoing on. County Road 42.
County Road 42 from County Road 19 (Manning Road) to Pike Creek will be temporarily closed to traffic due to construction May 2 to May 11. Digital message signs have been placed on County Road 42 at County Road 19 (Manning Road) and Pike Creek to notify the public of the temporary closure.
Deputy Warden Urges Residents to Sign Up for Municipal Alerts. Essex County residents are encouraged sign up for alerts from their local municipality to be prepared for severe weather and other emergencies, Deputy Warden Joe Bachetti said at the start of Wednesday’s council meeting.
Seasonal load limits on designated Essex County roads are in effect and will remain in place while signs are posted. Operators are advised to observe the 5 tonne per axle load restriction signs on county roads during this period.
