The 2014 Holiday Sharing Guide for Windsor and Essex County is available. This guide provides information about where individuals, families and organizations can donate goods and receive assistance during the holiday season.

At the November 5th, 2014 Special Meeting, Essex County Council made the decision to close Victoria Street Manor, an assisted living facility in Amherstburg, tentatively by January 31, 2015. .

Residents of Essex County who are interested in serving on the Essex County Accessibility Advisory Committee are invited to submit applications. Appointments to the Committee are for a four (4) year term.

Special Closed and Open meetings of Essex County Council have been scheduled for Wednesday, November 5. th.
Environment Canada is developing a recovery strategy for Scarlet Ammannia which is an annual plant that is listed as an endangered species and is requesting input on the recovery strategy for this plant. They are inviting landowners/land managers of land with the proposed critical habitat for this plant to participate in the public process of reviewing and providing comments to inform the development of the final recovery strategy and to be part of larger efforts to ensure the survival and recovery of species at risk.
